Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Johnnie Gwynne Kennedy, and by two brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Kit) Kennedy Miller (Sandy), a son, Johnnie G. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the people of Tybee Island who made it possible for Beverly to live independently for so long on the island that she came to love.
The service will be held at Fox & Weeks Funeral Home on Hodgson Memorial Drive at 11:00 on Saturday, June 6th. The visitation will immediately precede the service beginning at 10:00. Pallbearers will be Jim Sergi, Russell Berry, Steve McClendon, David Eitel, Rob Miller, and Shawn Broderick.

Dear Kit & Johnnie - I just learned of your mother's passing yesterday and am so sorry that I was not able to be present to extend my condolences to you. I had the pleasure of working with your mom at Candler many years ago (in the Quality Management Department) where she became a cherished mentor of mine. When she retired, I gave to her a sea shell picture I had painted as it hung in my office and she always said she'd like to 'steal it one day' to have for the Tybee beach house. I admired and respected her in so many ways and will cherish the good times we had. I will have you and your family in my thoughts and prayers as the days ahead will surely bring challenge.
- Allison Griffin, Savannah, Georgia

Beverly was a wonderful friend and mentor. She took this green RN and taught her volumes about Labor and Delivery. It was a joy and pleasure to work with her. We had some great times together and she was part of the group from Telfair who helped me with my wedding. My thoughts and prayers to the family. She was a wonderful lady and I was blessed to have known her and worked with her. She will be missed by us all. Pat Whittaker

Beverly has been like a mother to me and I cannot express how thankful that I am for having had her in my life. The whole Kennedy family has included me as part of their family for over 30 years. My heart goes out to Johnnie, Kit and Beth and that beautiful little great grand baby that Beverly couldn't wait to enter this world. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She was a strong lady who always had everyone's best interest at heart. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She will be sorely missed by us all. What a beautiful person we were blessed with. May she rest in peace and go be with her beloved John who is waiting for her in Heaven.
